Championship Betting Tips

The top fixture in the Championship today is at Turf Moor where Burnley host Nottingham Forest, with only 5 points between the second and fifth placed sides.

Both teams go into the fixture with impressive records, with Burnley hoping to make it 20 games unbeaten at home, and Nottingham Forest looking to extend their unbeaten run to 14 league matches. Burnleys last defeat came back on Boxing Day to Middlesbrough, while Nottingham Forest’s came at home to Reading at the end of November. Burnley, impressively remain the only side in the Championship to remain unbeaten at home, and will be looking for the three points that can keep them in touching distance of top placed Leicester.

They also benefit from a fully fit squad, compared with Nottingham Forrest who are missing around 8 first team players, among them the influential Jack Hobbs, Henri Lansbury and David Vaughan, with only Eric Lichaj in contention for a return.

This game will be a real test for both sides, but it is hard to see Burnley losing their unbeaten home record, given Nottingham’s injury problems. The draw is a generous 12/5 with Bet365. Go for Danny Ings to open the scoring at 4/1 with BetVictor, and 2-2 draw at 19/1, also with BetVictor.
