There is another set of interesting fixtures in the Championship this weekend.
Leeds travel to Yeovil in Saturday’s early kick off, following Friday’s confirmation of the clubs sale to Massimo Cellino, the owner of Cagliari, the Serie A Club. The announcement culminated a week of turmoil that had left manager Brian McDermott sacked, and then reinstated over the course of last weekend.
This chaos did not affect the players however, who romped to a 5-1 home victory against local rivals Huddersfield, their first win in 9 games in all competitions. They will hope to take that momentum into this fixture against bottom placed Yeovil, who hold the worst home record in the championship this season, having taken only eight points from their 12 home games.
Elsewhere top placed Leicester host Watford, a side that have struggled to replicate the form they showed last season when they narrowly missed promotion. Watford have won only two of their last 16 league games, one of which came against Brighton last week. They will look to contain a Leicester side which has begun to open up a lengthy gap on its rivals at the top, as they sit 10 points clear having played a game more.
