Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl Tips

Cotton Bowl

Missouri Tigers @ Oklahoma State Cowboys – Sat, Jan 4 0:30

The 8th ranked Tigers take on the 13th ranked cowboys in Arlington Texas on Saturday. The 11-2 Tigers have turned last year’s losing season into an 11 win season this year, only just missing out on the SEC Championship game to Auburn. The 10-2 Cowboys are the only team in college football to be top 15 in Scoring offence and defence, and have scored over 20 points in 50 consecutive games dating back to 2010. The Cowboys are 5/6 favourites with William Hill, and are 10/11 to score over 32 points with Stan James. The Tigers are Boylesports 11/10 outsiders, while also being 10/11 to score over 32 points. The game to finish under 61.5 points is 20/21 with Paddy Power, while Tigers to lead at the half and Cowboys to win is 8/1 with Bet 365. This is a difficult win to predict, so Tigers win by 1-6 is 15/4 and Cowboys win by 1-6 is 5/1, both with Bet 365. I expect Missouri to pinch this one.

Orange Bowl

Clemson Tigers @ Ohio State Buckeyes – Sat, Jan 4 1:30

The 12th ranked Clemson Tigers take on the 7th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes at the Dolphins’ Sun Life Stadium in Miami. The 10-2 Tigers are known nationally this season for what they’ve been able to do on offence, 11th in scoring and 13th in yards per game. Ohio State are no slouches though, averaging 46.3 points per game putting them 4th nationally. The Buckeyes are 4/6 Coral favourites, whilst the Tigers are 20/27 with Paddy Power. Tigers under 33.5 and Buckeyes under 37 are both 10/11 with Stan James, and under 70.5 points in the game is evens, also with Paddy Power. This looks like a blowout for the Buckeyes on paper, but Clemson have a great passing offence, and the Buckeyes have an average secondary. Can the Tigers keep up is the question. Buckeyes to clinch by 1-6 is 17/4 or 7-12 is 11/2, and the Tigers to win by 1-6 is 19-4, all with Bet 365.

BET OF THE DAY – Clemson Tigers to have highest scoring quarter – 5/4 Bet 365
