Champions League bettingMark Rawlinson

The remaining four Champions League last 16 ties play out their first legs over the next two nights.

Manchester United travel to Greece to face Olympiakos whilst Chelsea are in Turkey as they play Galatasaray.

Olympiakos v Manchester United Betting Tips

Manchester United picked up their first win in four games at the weekend as they defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 but they face a tricky test at Greek Super League leaders Olympiakos tonight.

The reigning Greek champions are on a terrific unbeaten run which stands at 15 games, dating all the way back to December 1st.

Phil Jones and Jonny Evans are absent for tonight’s game through injury and have not made the trip, neither has Nani who’s out with a hamstring injury.

Juan Mata is cup-tied for the rest of United’s Champions League campaign after featuring for Chelsea in Europe earlier in the season but Rafael and Danny Welbeck are both available following injuries.

The hosts’ top scorer Javier Saviola has been ruled out with a hamstring injury so young Nigerian Michael Olaitan will start up to for Olympiacos.

United are 5/4 favourites with Bet 365 but there is good value on an Olympiakos victory at 3/1 with Totesport.

BET OF THE DAY: Wayne Rooney anytime scorer at 7/4 with Bet 365.

Zenit St. Petersburg v Borussia Dortmund Betting Tips

Prior to the United game, Russian Premier League leaders Zenit take on Group F winners Borussia Dortmund.

This is Zenit’s first competitive match since their 4-1 defeat to Austria Vienna in the final group match on 11th December so a lack of match practice could be an issue for the hosts. They are without Portuguese winger Danny and Argentine defender Cristian Ansaldi.

Jurgen Klopp’s Dotmund outfit have won four of their last five games and they are boosted by the news that talismanic striker Robert Lewandowski is fit to play after he was substituted in the weekend’s 3-0 defeat to Hamburg.

Dortmund are 17/20 favourites with Bet Victor whilst Boylesports offer the best value on a Zenit win at 19/5.

This game is live on Sky Sports 1 from 5pm.

Galatasaray v Chelsea Betting Tips

Then on Wednesday night, Chelsea play reigning Turkish Super Lig Champions Galatasaray in the intimidating Türk Telekom Arena.

Chelsea are unbeaten in 12 in league action but Jose Mourinho may be without Jon Obi Mikel, Oscar and David Luiz who all face late fitness tests as they bit to overcome injuries.

Robert Mancini’s Galatasaray scraped through Group B with just two victories but are in good form domestically, with 11 games without a loss, a run which stretches back to November.

Chelsea are offered at Evens by a number of bookies, including William Hill, whilst Bet 365 represent the best value on a home win at 10/3.

Watch this match live from 7:45pm on Sky Sports 1 on Wednesday evening.

Schalke 04 v Real Madrid Betting Tips

The fourth and final last 16 match this week sees La Liga leaders Real Madrid visit Group F runners-up Schalke.

Schalke are unbeaten in seven in all competitions but will have to play very well to take anything without this match, and they are without a number of important players including Marco Hoger, Dennis Aogo and skipper Benedikt Howedes.

Real Madrid have been very clinical in recent weeks, netting 15 goals in their last five matches, whilst only conceding two.

Goals have been coming from all over the park by the hosts will need to keep the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema quite who have both scored a few in recent weeks.

As you’d expect, Real are 9/20 favourites with a number of bookies, including Bet 365, whilst Paddy Power offer 13/2 on a Schalke win.

Catch this one on Sky Sports 4 from 7:45pm.
