Miami Heat Betting Tips

Conor PhillipsNBA Betting Tips

As the first round of the NBA playoffs draws to a close, we begin to get a good idea of which teams hold a very strong hand and which are likely to struggle in the next round.

NBA  Playoffs Betting Tips

The reigning champions, Miami Heat played some fantastic ball and are the only team to record a 4-0 win in the first round. LeBron James has been vital to the Heat side as usual and he leads the playoffs in scoring so far, averaging 30 points per game.

Washington Wizards also carried on what has been a fantastic season, beating the Chicago Bulls 4-1 to progress comfortably. John Wall averaged an impressive 6.8 assists per game during the series, whilst Marcin Gortat was solid with 2 blocks per game.

Portland and Houston have supplied what has surely been the most entertaining series of the first round, with multiple high-scoring games and a number that have stretched to overtime. The Trail Blazers were the team to progress, thanks to an exquisite buzzer-beating three from Damian Lillard in the sixth game.

LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors both won 4-3 in their respective series’ and will face each other in the second round, which promises to be special.

Blake Griffin continued his superb form and is the leading scorer for the Clippers, averaging 23 points per game. Kevin Durant was easily the NBA top scorer in the regular season and he is another who has continued at a high level, averaging 29 points per game.

Oklahoma Thunder Betting Tips

Thunder are the favourites for that second round match-up, with Paddy Power offering odds of 20/37. Clippers represent good value and are currently 31/20 with the same firm.

San Antonio and Dallas are currently drawing the series 3-3 and the deciding game will be played on Sunday night.

Indiana Pacers Betting Tips

Indiana scraped through in what was much less comfortable fashion than they would have hoped, beating Atlanta Hawks 4-3. They are now 14-1 to win the NBA championship. Despite a shaky first round series, Pacers remain favourites to beat the Wizards and are best price 10/23 to do so. Washington again represent good value at odds just short of 2/1.

Toronto and Brooklyn are also drawing 3-3 in the series and that series is another that will be decided on Sunday night. The winner will play the only unbeaten team left in the playoffs, Miami.

Miami Heat Betting Tips

Miami have shortened rapidly in the market and are now a best price of 5/4 to win the championship with Boyle Sports.

San Antonio Spurs remain next in the market at 3/1, despite the fact they have not yet progressed into the second round.

Oklahoma are third in betting at 7/2, with the impressive LA Clippers a decent price of 7/1.

BETS OF THE DAY:

Miami Heat to win NBA Championship @ 5/4
